Estrategias de desarrollo y recursos naturales estratégicos en la relación Argentina-China

Se busca indagar el rol que cumplen ciertos recursos naturales estratégicos -en especial hidrocarburos y litio- en el estrechamiento del vínculo bilateral entre Argentina y China que viene teniendo lugar en los últimos años. Se pondrá el foco en los acuerdos de inversión y cooperación que viene entablando el conglomerado YPF, por la parte argentina, con contrapartes chinas en torno a un conjunto de tópicos considerados estratégicos por ambas partes. De este modo, se busca indagar las condiciones, perspectivas y oportunidades que brinda el estrechamiento de la relación bilateral Argentina-China, potenciada por el reciente ingreso de nuestro país a la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta y la invitación realizada a nuestro país para ingresar al recientemente ampliado foro BRICS+, en la dimensión bajo estudio. Se busca, en particular, indagar qué tipo de complementariedades se presentan en materia de las estrategias de desarrollo de estos recursos naturales estratégicos, innovación y transferencia tecnológica, desarrollo y escalamiento de capacidades tecno-productivas.

Development strategies and strategic natural resources in the Argentina-China relationship

The aim is to investigate the role played by certain strategic natural resources -especially hydrocarbons and lithium- in the strengthening of the bilateral relationship between Argentina and China that has been taking place in recent years. The focus will be on the investment and cooperation agreements that the conglomerate YPF, on the Argentine side, has been entering into with Chinese counterparts on a set of topics considered strategic by both parties. In this way, we seek to investigate the conditions, prospects and opportunities offered by the strengthening of the Argentina-China bilateral relationship, enhanced by the recent entry of our country to the Belt and Road Initiative and the invitation made to our country to join the recently expanded BRICS+ forum, in the dimension under study. In particular, we seek to investigate what kind of complementarities are present in terms of development strategies of these strategic natural resources, innovation and technology transfer, development and scaling up of techno-productive capacities.
