Tema de investigación: Políticas lingüísticas e iniciativas glotopolíticas de familias chinas en Argentina.

Actualmente se encuentra investigando las decisiones que las familias migrantes chinas toman y tomaron respecto de las lenguas y escrituras que se aprenden, se utilizan y se valoran. Este proyecto busca develar los sentidos que las distintas lenguas chinas y no chinas obtienen para las personas en situación de migración. Su tesis doctoral se centró en las distintas políticas que el Gobierno de la Ciudad y el Estado chino desarrollan para que las personas migrantes chinas aprendan la lengua oficial de la RPC y también en las iniciativas impulsadas por migrantes con el mismo fin.

Research topic: Language policies and glotopolitical initiatives of Chinese families in Argentina.

Florencia Sartori is currently researching the decisions that Chinese migrant families make and have made regarding the languages and scripts that are learned and used. This project seeks to unveil the meanings that different Chinese and non-Chinese languages obtain for migrants. Her doctoral thesis focused on the different policies that the City Government and the Chinese State develop for Chinese migrants to learn the official language of the PRC and also on the initiatives promoted by migrants with the same purpose.
