Los intelectuales argentinos y el maoísmo: circulación transnacional de ideas, personas y producciones culturales entre la Argentina y la República Popular China (1952-1976)

La investigación se enfoca en la circulación de personas e ideas entre la República Popular China y la Argentina entre 1952-1976. A través del estudio de los desplazamientos transnacionales de distintos intelectuales argentinos, se indagan los modos en que el maoísmo dio lugar y dialogó con producciones en diversos ámbitos culturales, como la psiquiatría y el mundo literario.
Los viajes hacia China, si bien no exclusivos, constituyen una parte central de la investigación. A través de ellos, no sólo era posible acceder a una experiencia de primera mano en la República Popular, sino que también vehiculizaron saberes, ideas e imaginarios que fueron importantes en la experiencia maoísta argentina en particular y latinoamericana en general.

Argentine Intellectuals and Maoism: Transnational Circulation of Ideas, People, and Cultural Productions between Argentina and the People’s Republic of China (1952-1976)

The research focuses on the circulation of people and ideas between the People’s Republic of China and Argentina between 1952-1976. Through the study of the transnational movements of different Argentine intellectuals, it investigates the ways in which Maoism gave rise to and interacted with productions in various cultural spheres, such as psychiatry and the literary world.

The trips to China, while not exclusive, constitute a central part of the research. Through them, it was not only possible to access a firsthand experience in the People’s Republic but also to convey knowledge, ideas, and imaginaries that were important in the Argentine Maoist experience in particular and the Latin American experience in general.
